Per la nuova creazione di Chiara Bersani Michel: The Animals I Am, cerchiamo performer con disabilità fisica e motoria da inserire nella produzione e relativa tournée.
LA PERFORMANCE
Michel: The Animals I Am nasce dal desiderio di trasformare un assolo in un coro, di assorbire il concetto di eccezione e restituire un’idea di collettività. Partiamo da due eredità: Da una parte la ricerca che attraversa il linguaggio del balletto classico, nello specifico de La morte del Cigno, per superarlo, setacciarlo, ripensarlo attraverso l’accesso di una pluralità di corpi. Dall’altra un assolo, L’Animale, che ha debuttato nel 2021 e che ora desidera “esplodere” diventando coro, rifrazione, imprevisto, dialogo, armonia e boato. Nel 2025 con il sostegno di Alkantara Festival (Lisbon, Portugal) e LIFT Festival (London, UK), l’Animale diventa una performance per tre performer con disabilità che si pone la domanda: Se il repertorio classico chiede di essere eseguito da fisicità aderenti ad un modello molto preciso, può esistere un repertorio che applichi la stessa rigida richiesta ma ad altri corpi che rispondono ad altri modelli?
REQUISITI DI PARTECIPAZIONE
Performer con disabilità motoria, di tutte le età e i generi, che abbiano:
- Desiderio di lavorare nel mondo delle arti performative, anche senza esperienza pregressa.
- Forte interesse a intraprendere una ricerca sull’utilizzo della voce
- Predisposizione a lavorare in gruppo: attitudine all’ascolto e al confronto
- Disponibilità a viaggiare e ad adeguarsi a differenti contesti di lavoro
- Disponibilità ed affidabilità durante i periodi di prove e tour
IL PROCESSO E LE PROVE
Il lavoro è basato sulla trasmissione di una coreografia pensata per corpi non conformi trasformandola attraverso le diverse potenzialità personali dei tre performer.
Le prove dello spettacolo si terranno secondo il seguente calendario (soggetto a variazioni):
16 – 29 giugno – luogo e date in via di definizione
21 – 27 luglio – luogo e date in via di definizione
20 ottobre – 8 novembre – luogo e date in via di definizione
PREMIERE/TOUR
Il debutto dello spettacolo sarà il 9 novembre 2025 a Reggio Emilia e a seguire il tour prosegue l’11 e il 12 novembre a Milano. Seguirà riallestimento e tour dal 17 al 24 novembre a Lisbona.
Si prevedono ulteriori repliche in Italia e all’estero a partire da novembre 2025.
COMPENSO
Nell’arco del periodo di prove saranno garantiti agli interpreti il rimborso spese di viaggio, vitto, alloggio. Il compenso è di 70€ netti per giornata di prova.
Per ciascuna replica dello spettacolo saranno garantiti agli interpreti il rimborso dei viaggi, il vitto e l’alloggio e un compenso di 180€ netti per giornata.

Eventuali richieste e bisogni specifici saranno concordati con la compagnia a seguito della conferma di selezione.
FASI DI SELEZIONE
La selezione avverrà in due step:
- La valutazione del materiale scritto, vocale o video inviato per la candidatura
- Un colloquio conoscitivo online.
Sarà cura della direzione comunicare sia gli esiti positivi che negativi della selezione.
Performers with motor disabilities
For the new creation by Chiara Bersani, Michel: The Animals I Am, we are looking for performers with physical and motor disabilities to be part of the production and its related tour.
THE PERFORMANCE
Michel: The Animals I Am stems from the desire to transform a solo into a chorus, to assimilate the concept of exception and return an idea of collectivity.
We start with two legacies: on one hand, the research that goes through the language of classical ballet, specifically The Dying Swan, by accessing a plurality of bodies.
On the other, a solo, L’Animale (The Animal), which debuted in 2021 and now seeks to “explode”, becomes the chorus, refraction, unexpected event, dialogue, harmony, and thunder.
In 2025, with the support of Alkantara Festival (Lisbon, Portugal) and LIFT Festival (London, UK), L’Animale (The Animal) becomes a performance for three performers with disabilities, posing the question: if classical repertoire demands to be performed by bodies adhering to a very specific model, can a repertoire exist that applies the same rigid criteria but to other bodies adhering to different models?
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Performers with motor disabilities, of all ages and genders, who have:
– Experience in contemporary dance practice, even if not gained through advanced training, or familiarity with the stage.
– Strong interest in researching the use of the voice.
– A predisposition for group work: aptitude for listening and discussion.
– Availability to travel and to adapt to different work contexts.
– Availability and reliability during rehearsal and tour periods.
PROCESS AND REHEARSALS
The work is based on transmitting a choreography conceived for non-conforming bodies, transforming it through the unique potential of each of the three performers.
The rehearsals of the performance will take place according to the following schedule (subject to changes):
- June 16-29 – location and dates to be defined
- July 21 – 27 – location and dates to be defined
- October 20 – November 8 – location and dates to be defined
PREMIERE/TOUR
The premiere of the performance will take place on November 9, 2025, in Reggio Emilia, followed by performances on November 11 and 12 in Milan.
A restaging and a further tour will take place from November 17 to 24 in Lisbon.
Additional performances in Italy and abroad are expected from November 2025 onward.
FEE
During the rehearsal period, travel, accommodation, and meals will be covered.
The net fee will be 70€ per rehearsal day.
